Solocast firmware update stuck problem

I spent over 5 hours to fix my microphone. And I found how to fix it.

I was using window 10 22H2

When I tried to update firmware of HyperX Solocast, Ngenuity got stuck.

So I rebooted my system and my mic was gone.

Symptom

1. Device name changed

n-HyperX SoloCast -> Realtek USB2.0 Audio

n is a number of your USB port....maybe... never mind!

2. Can't detect mic

I tried several times to detect my mic, it didn't work. (reinstalled 5 times fuck!)

3. Red Light LED and mute button doesn't work

4. sound quality fucked up

How to solve

1. Download firmware updater

I found this youtube video.

Youtube Link

There's nothing but a link of updater only.

You can find link in description... but I brought it for you :)

2. Check your USB's vid and pid

1. Press Win + X
2. Click Device Manager
3. Find your mic driver
4. Open Property -> Event tab
5. Find a Textbox named Information(I)
6. Find information about 'Parent Device' from bottom line
Ex) "親デバイス: USB\VID_????&PID_????&blabla...."

There you should memo your VID and PID.

3. modify VID and PID

1. Unzip Updater File and you will find "HyperXMic.ini"

2. Open it with memo app. (Just click it)

3. Change this line to your VID and PID.

[id]

vid=????

pid=????

4. Execute "HyperXSolocastFirmwareUpdater.exe"

Done!

As I hope you guys can fix yours, I wrote this post in English.

Have a nice day.
